The design team at Aerofab Restorations, based at Thruxton Aerodrome in Hampshire, have been working on the new paint job for the Cessna 175 Skylark rebuild. 

The aircraft came to Aerofab in August 2023 and has been undergoing a complete bare-metal strip-down. 

Every aspect of the aircraft is undergoing restoration, from nose to tail, a complete rebuild by our team of certified engineers.

Based on the South Coast, Aerofab is an authorised Garmin service centre and this aircraft has the perfect registration to become the latest avionics demonstrator. 

We've reached the stage where we now need to decide on the paintwork. With some subtle changes to the original design, the team have chosen to use blue as the main colour, accenting with a black engine cover, and swooping lines with white detailing. 

Our clever design team have even incorporated the Garmin logo into the registration lettering, which meets the CAA marking standards.
