October 1, 2024Summer Holidays - managing children at an Airfield.
With August upon us, bringing long summer days, comfortable temperatures and some excellent flying conditions, our attention turns to taking the family on days out. For aviators, it's a chance to explore the air with our closest loved ones, seeking out new destinations and enjoying the freedom of flight.
With this comes additional safety concerns, chief among which might be how to manage the safety of your small person at the airfield while your attention is on readying the aircraft for the adventure ahead.
Here at Aerofab Restorations, we have found the perfect solution, and it's environmentally sound too.
Recycle an old wind sock and pop it over the pesky child in question, limiting their movement and ability to get into any mischief. It even comes with handy ropes which can be used to secure it (and the child therein) to a nearby tie-down, thus preventing any unncessary wondering about.
This clever reuse also has the added bonus of built-in "air holes" at the narrow end and doubles up as a hula-hoop at the wide end. All while protecting your beloved offspring from the elements, staving off the harsh UV rays from the sun and, when conditions turn foul, keeping them nicely dry to boot.
